Welcome! I’m Sophie, a fantasy author represented by Ciara Finan at Curtis Brown Literary Agency.
Writing has been a huge part of my life since I was old enough to put pen to paper, whether fiction, non-fiction or poetry. After studying photography at university, I spent my twenties working as an editor, photojournalist and copywriter, whilst also running my own business.
In 2022, I decided to try my hand at fiction writing for the first time since I was a teen, and completed my first novel. Since then, I have written a further three manuscripts, including SALTSTONE, an adult eco-horror fantasy novel following a fallen queen searching for her missing daughter with the help of a grumpy mercenary, and THE SHADOW & THE SWORD, an adult dark fantasy novel featuring an assassin, the soldier she’s trying to kill, and the fortune teller helping both of them without the other knowing.
I currently live in the east of England and can usually be found binge-reading fantasy novels, exploring the beautiful Norfolk coast, or chilling at home with my husband and two cats.
